  • During his stay at the Delhi School of Economics, he helped found the University’s first film society.
  • Initially, Dhritiman worked as a part-time announcer at All India Radio (AIR Calcutta). However, in search of a full-time job, he joined the advertising field and started working at Hindustan Thompson, an advertising agency in Mumbai. Here, Dhritiman rose quickly up the ranks and was eventually promoted to the post of Creative Director.
  • Throughout his career, Dhritiman has acted in movies of different languages. From Bengali and Sinhalese to Hindi and English, Dhritiman has been a part of multi-lingual cinema since 1970.
  • Also an ardent theater artist, Dhritiman is still active on the English stage in Chennai.
  • He also hosts a show by the name of Pradhanmantri on a local Bengali Channel.
  • A philanthropist at heart, Dhritiman is also a consultant to a UNICEF project in Bangladesh on maternal mortality.
