Some Lesser Known Facts About Shivya Pathania

When she was in her 7th standard, she went to her aunt’s home to spend her vacations. She gained a lot of weight when she returned to Shimla. She was body-shamed for her fat appearance by her friends. She faced so much criticism that she had to change her school.

Her family was not happy with her decision of leaving her studies and venturing into modelling. Her father even had a conflict with her over her career choices. However, Shivya got her family’s support after she won the Miss Shimla in 2013.

Shivya won the title of Miss Shimla 2013, Miss Oye, and Miss Beautiful Smile at the International Summer Festival held in Shimla.

Shivya gave the auditions for her first show in Shimla. Initially, she didn’t want to relocate to Mumbai and was not even confident about getting the role, but contrary to her thinking got selected to do the role.

She started her acting career in 2014 by playing the role of Arzoo Nausheen Khan in the TV serial ‘Humsafars.’

In 2017, she, along with actor Kinshuk Vaidya, won the award for the category of Rising Stars of 2017 at Kolkata Kalakar Awards.

After her show “Humsafars” got over, she gave auditions for various shows but faced rejection. During her struggle days in Mumbai, she did catalogue shoots to survive there but never asked any help from her parents.

Shivya met Kinshuk Vaidya for the first time on the sets of her serial “Humsafars.”

Shivya always preferred playing a character in a mythological show as it is her parents’ favourite genre. Her wish came true when she bagged the role of ‘Radha’ in the Star Bharat “RadhaKrishn (2018).” In addition to that, she has also played ‘Goddess Lakshmi’ in “Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha (2019)” and ‘Goddess Sita’ in “Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush (2019).”
