• Durjoy Datta grew up in New Delhi.

• When he was a child, his parents forced him to read books. He was not allowed to go to bed before reading.

• He got in touch with Avantika years later through friends. According to Durjoy, they started messaging over Facebook and only met in person after dating each other for a long time online.

• Durjoy worked as a piping engineer at Siemens AG from August 2008 to July 2009.

• In April 2010, he joined NIIT Ltd. as a summer intern and continued till June 2010.

• He worked as a management trainee and marketing analyst at American Express, a bank holding company, from April 2011 to June 2012.
