Neelam Kothari is an Indian actress turned jewellery designer.

She grew up in a well-to-do family in Hong Kong.

In her school days, she was a member of Rutherford house.

Later, her family shifted from Hong Kong to Bangkok.

Neelam knows how to play the Keyboard since childhood. She was also trained in the Jazz and Ballet dance forms in childhood.

Once when Neelam was on a holiday to Mumbai, she was approached by the film director Ramesh Behl to play a role in his film “Jawaani” (1984).

Although her debut film “Jawaani” did not perform well at the box office, Neelam was approached for films like “Andaz Pyar Ka” (1986), “Khudgarz” (1987), “Khatron Ke Khiladi” (1988), “Sindoor” (1988), and “Gharana” (1989).

She shot to fame with the film “Ghar Ka Chiraaz” (1989) in which she played the role of ‘Kiran.’

She has also appeared in the Bollywood films “Agneepath” (1990), “Indrajeet” (1991), “Santaan” (1995), “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” (1998), and “Hum Saath Saath Hain” (1999).
