Controversy | In 2018, Hayma Malini joined the individuals accusing lyricist Vairamuthu of sexual harassment. Hayma came forward and shared the incident of Vairamuthu sexually harrassing her after singer Chinmayi's allegations of her sexual harassment by Vairamuthu, adding to the growing #MeToo movement in the entertainment industry. - Hayma Malini is a Singaporean radio presenter and TV producer, who is the wife of the Indian singer Yugendran Vasudevan, son of Malaysian-origin Tamil playback singer-actor Malaysia Vasudevan.
- Her grandparents are of Sri Lankan origin.
- In 1993, she started working as a cabin crew with Singapore Airlines; however, by 1994, she had left her job. In 1999, she relocated to Sri Lanka and started working at Colombo Communications.
- Hayma Malini has won several beauty pageant titles in Singapore and has represented Singapore on the international stage. In 1994, she secured the Miss Singapore Intercontinental title and represented Singapore in Germany. Throughout her career, she won numerous titles, including Miss Model in 1995 and Miss Singapore Tourism in 1997.
