  • He joined the Punjab State Institute of Sports in Mohali in 2012 before moving to Surjit Hockey Academy in Jalandhar, Punjab.
  • He was a ball boy during the Hockey India League in 2013.
  • In 2016, he was the vice-captain of the Indian team at the sub-junior Asia Cup.
  • His performance in the sub-junior Asia Cup was the reason that Jaypee Punjab Warriors bought him for $39,000, even though his base price was set at $2600 in the Hockey India League.

    At that time, way back in 2017, I thought of shifting base to the Netherlands to play club hockey there. I gave up hope of representing India. If he (Jugraj) had not guided me at that time, I wouldn’t be here now. When you are doing well, you need good guidance.”
