- Moore was born in Oxford. Her father was a professor of mathematics at the University of Oxford, and her mother was a teacher.
- She was passionate about acting and was accepted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Although, due to financial constraints, she couldn’t attend the drama school.
- From the age of 11, Jane had always dreamt of becoming a journalist, so she decided to pursue this career path instead.
- Her parents got divorced when she was young since then she lived with her mother and has not heard from her father.
- In 1981, she worked on her skills at the Solihull News before she landed in a full-time role at the Birmingham Post and Birmingham Mail.
- After stints as an investigation reporter at the Sunday People and a launch news editor at Sunday Sport, Jane made history in 1987 when she became the first female editor of The Sun’s Bizarre showbiz column.
