• After a stunning 63-move victory against Ziatdinov, Aarit Kapil has maintained an ELO rating of 1825, making him one of the highest-rated chess players in his group and a rising force in the world of junior chess.

• On June 25, 2025, Aarit took part in an online chess tournament called ‘Early Titled Tuesday,’ hosted on Chess.com.

• While playing in Georgia, where he was taking part in the World U-10 Championship, Aarit found himself up against Norwegian chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen, the world’s top-ranked chess player and former World Champion.

• During the game, until the 46th move, Aarit had a winning position against Carlsen. But with his time running low, Aarit allowed Carlsen to salvage a draw on the 49th move, which was still commendable for his age, and his opponent is world champion Magnus Carlsen.

• Aarit practices chess for five to six hours every day.
