The sequel to the 2015 epic ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’ has lived up to its hype. The movie has not only shattered numerous domestic records but has also performed well at the global box-office. Perhaps one of the few South Indian films to take the entire country by storm, here are some interesting facts that one ought to know about “The Conclusion.”
1. Advance Booking Mayhem!
Such was the excitement among Bahubali fans that within 24 hours of the advance booking opening, more than 1 million tickets were sold online. In fact, because of the ‘extra-ordinary’ traffic, many websites crashed within a few minutes after the movie opened for advance booking.
2. YouTube Accolade!
‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ trailer garnered as many as 50 million views on YouTube within 24 hours of its release. The trailer eventually managed to become the most viewed Indian trailer ever. Additionally, the trailer became the world’s 13th most viewed online video in first 24 hours!

Reportedly, only the ‘climax’ part of the movie has cost the producers around INR 30 crores. The figure might not look surprising at all, considering the humongous combined budget of 300 crores.
7. The Bahubali Museum
In July 2015, S. S. Rajamouli, the director of the magnum opus, said that Bahubali will have its own museum in a few years time. It will reportedly house all the weapons, armours and costumes that the actors have sported in the film series.
8. Dedicated Prabhas!
Not only did the actor refuse to sign any other project during the shoot of the film but even postponed his ‘marriage’ owing to the busy shooting schedule. Perhaps Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, has some competition now!
9. Record-Machine!
Neither Salman Khan’s “Sultan” nor Aamir Khan’s “Dangal” could stop the ‘outrage’ caused by Bahubali. The magnum opus’ Hindi version collected around 125 crore in its opening weekend, a figure much bigger than Sultan’s 105 crore and Dangal’s 107 crore. If that wasn’t enough, the film managed to cross the 500 crore mark (Global Collection) in just 5 days!
10. Costly Satellite Rights
Sony Entertainment Television bought the satellite rights of the Hindi version of the film for a whopping 51 crore. Notably, this is the highest amount paid for the rights to a dubbed film so far.
