- Isabella Rossellini’s mother Ingrid Bergman was of Swedish and German descent and her father Roberto Rossellini was of Italian descent. Her father’s family was originally from Tuscany and Veneto. Her mother, who was Swedish was born in Stockholm to a Swedish father and a German mother.
