Lauren belongs to a family of doctors, as both her parents are dentists.
She started singing karaoke in public at the age of 7.
Initially, she learned music at Musik Haus in Gaylord. Later, she started touring Northern Michigan with the JR Country Band.
When she was in middle school, she started posting videos of her original songs and covers on YouTube.
From the age of 12 through college, she took a break from music to focus on becoming a dentist, but destiny had some different plans for her as she met an independent filmmaking couple Ann Gillis and her husband Marvin, who suggested her to try her luck in music and move to Nashville. After some time, Ann Gillis, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS – a nervous system disease), Lauren felt the need to be with her and, hence, became her caretaker.
For the further scope in music, she moved to Nashville from Gaylord in 2014.
She had enrolled herself in a pre-dentistry program, but due to her passion towards music, she didn’t continue her medical education.
In 2017, she participated in ‘The Voice’ season 12, and in her blind auditions Jewel’s “You Were Meant for Me.”, she impressed the 3 coaches with her beautiful voice.
