Controversies	• Removing the doors of a women's toilet In December 2021, a judicial magistrate court ordered an FIR against Murlidhar Mohol and three others for allegedly removing the doors of a women's toilet in the Paud Fata area of Kothrud. Murlidhar is accused of forcing the residents of the area to leave their homes and move to other places. However, the court put a stay on the FIR after Murlidhar presented his side before the court through his lawyer. [1]Hindustan Times • Accused of biasness In 2021 during Murlidhar's tenure as Mayor of Pune Municipal Corporation, he was accused of giving promotion to his own workers despite not meeting the criteria. The opposition parties claimed that out of 40 candidates eligible for promotion, education certificates of 17 workers were found suspicious. • At the age of 12, Murlidhar started attending Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) classes in his hometown in Kothrud.

• Muralidhar’s family background is related to wrestling including his entire village which has a strong wrestling tradition. He pursued wrestling further while studying at Shivaji University after he joined the Government Wrestling Center in Kasba Bawda.
