Some Lesser Known Facts About Noor Ahmad
- Noor Ahmad was 4-5 years old when he started playing tape-ball cricket with his friends.
- He was good in his studies and was a school topper in grade 10. Hence, his father didn’t want him to pursue a cricket career. Even his school teachers requested his father to ask him to focus on his studies. But his brother, Noor, convinced his father to allow him.
- Around that time, Rashid Khan made his debut for Afghanistan. Noor was impressed and decided to become like him.
- One of his bowling strengths is his speed, which is around 115-120 kph, in the range of a medium pacer.
- In 2019, he started playing in the Shpageeza Cricket League.
- He was only 15 when he played in the 2020-2021 Big Bash League.
- At the age of 14 years and 344 days, he registered his name for the 2020 IPL auction but went unsold.
- In the 2021 IPL, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) signed him up as a net bowler.
- In the 2022 IPL auction, Gujarat Titans acquired him for his base price of Rs 30 lakhs.
- He took 2 wickets for 17 runs in the 2023 IPL final which GT won.
