- Before joining the film industry, Rami Reddy used to work as a journalist at the Urdu newspaper in Hyderabad named ‘The Munsif Daily.’
- Initially, Rami Reddy wasn’t interested in entering the film industry and just wanted to become a journalist; however, during his time at ‘The Munsif Daily,’ he used to meet and interview a lot of actors which eventually made him get interested in acting and joining the film industry.
- One day, Rami went to take the interview of the Telugu director Kodi Ramakrishna. During the interview, the filmmaker was impressed with Rami’s personality, and thus he offered him a negative role in his upcoming Telugu film. Rami accepted the offer and became part of the film titled ‘Ankusam’ (1989) in which he played the character of Neelakantam.
- In the same year, he was cast in the Kannada action drama film titled ‘Abhimanyu’ in which he played the character of “Spot” Naga.
