  • In 2023, he participated in the 6th Junior Federation Kabaddi Cup as a player of the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Team.
  • According to Shreyas Umbardand, he used to watch the Pro Kabaddi League seasons on television and decided to participate in the league. Once, in a media conversation, he shared that he used to play in school, participated in his club, played many national kabaddi championships, and then participated in the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League in 2023. Earlier, he faced some financial difficulties and found it challenging to secure a good coach to teach new skills. However, Shreyas received complete support from his family. He said,

     It was also difficult to find a good coach who could teach you new skills. I had complete support from my family.”
