- Vanessa Morgan was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She is of mixed race. Her mother is Scottish and her father is Tanzanian. She is among the youngest of three children.
- Vanessa began her singing and entertaining career in California at the age of six.
- She appeared at various community events, sang for the Arthritis Telethons, and performed for Child Help in the USA. to raise funds and charity.
- She was also a regular child guest entertainer for the College of the Desert Scholarship Foundation USA.
