Some Lesser Known facts About Vikram Singh

• Vikram developed an interest in music at a young age and he began learning to play the guitar in Class 10.

• He became associated with the emerging rock and Western music scene in Manipur.

• He played guitar with several Manipuri bands, including Ultra Vires, Phoenix and Eastern Dark.

• He became particularly known as the lead guitarist of Phoenix, which was among the notable rock bands from Manipur during that period.

• He later travelled to Kolkata, where he studied classical guitar at Trinity School of Music.

• After moving to Delhi, he continued pursuing music professionally.

• In Delhi, he worked as a guitar teacher and music educator and also taught at the Delhi School of Music.

• He established his own music school and trained and mentored several young musicians.

• Vikram was also involved in musical collaborations that brought together rock, Western and Indian folk music traditions.

• One of his later projects was Rock’n’Roots, through which he collaborated with Rajasthani folk singer Mame Khan.
