Some Lesser Known Facts About Tiku Talsania

Tiku Talsania belonged to a Doctor’s family. He was also supposed to pursue the doctorate, but he always wanted to become an actor.

Tiku is a German name of a pen which was given to him by his grandfather as the pen was his grandfather’s favorite one. Later Tiku Talsania tried to change his name, but he had to fulfill a lot of formalities in the concerned department, so he dropped the idea of changing his name.

He always used to participate in school plays. He started his acting career as a Gujarati theatre artist.

During the time of theatre, he joined a firm as a salesman. But he left the job as he had to work 7-days a week and he could not afford to sacrifice Sundays as he used to do theatre on Sundays.

Although most of his roles are comic, he is best remembered for the serious role of Dharamdas in ‘Devdas’ (2002), which is critically acclaimed.
