• Kundara Johnny was an Indian actor who predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema. He is also known for his appearances in Tamil films like Vaazhkai Chakram and Nadigan. On 17 October 2023, he died at a private hospital in Kollam after suffering a heart attack. He was 71. ^[3]Hindustan Times

• During his college days, he captained the Kollam district football team. However, Johny discovered his true passion in acting, gaining fame through roles in movies such as “Agni Parvatham(1985),” “Rajavinte Makan(1986),” and “Aavanazhi(1986).”

• Johnny, at the age of 23, made his debut in the 1979 Malayalam film “Nithya Vasantham,” portraying a character aged 55.

• In 1979, Kundara Johny appeared in the Malayalam film Kazhukan. In 1980, he was cast in the film Karimpana. In 1981, he appeared as Johny in the Malayalam film Aayudham. He then went on to appear in more than a hundred Malayalam films including Angachamayam (1982), Veendum Chalikkunna Chakram (1984), and Kireedom (1985).

• It was his villainous characters especially Nambiar in “Nadodikkattu” (1987) that pushed him to stardom, making this portrayal an iconic performance.
