- Shraddha Joshi Sharma is an IRS officer of the 2007 batch. IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma is her husband. In October 2023, a film, 12th Fail, based on Manoj’s life struggles to become an IPS officer was released.
- She completed her primary education under the Uttar Pradesh board and achieved the 13th position in the state for her 12th-grade board examinations.
- She once revealed in an interview that both her parents are teachers by profession and they were very strict. She used to be terrified but this also helped her remain disciplined during her childhood and teen years.
- Upon finishing her formal education, she served as a physician at a hospital in Uttarakhand.
- After working there for some time, Shraddha and her roommate, Sanjay, started studying to become civil servants. While giving an interview, Shraddha said that she and her friend decided to pursue a career as civil servants following the tragic incident in which a woman, who had suffered domestic abuse, was admitted to the hospital where she worked with severe burn marks on her body and tragically passed away.

To persuade her parents, Manoj lied by assuring them that upon their marriage and the presentation of their marriage certificate to the government, he would be granted a cadre transfer from Maharashtra to Uttarakhand on compassionate grounds.
