• Pedro Astorga was raised by his parents in a middle-class family.

• During his childhood, Pedro used to spend the majority of his time on the banks of the Maipo River as he always loved to be surrounded by nature and wildlife. Being near the water all the time made him pursue Kayaking in his life as a profession.

• Pedro started paddling at the age of 10 in the calm waters of the Liucura River in Pucón.

• At the age of 13, his brother taught him the turn which is a movement that allows a kayaker who is submerged to return to a position above the water.

• Pedro Astorga is a kayaker, and he represents Chile in various rafting competitions and world championships around the world.

• During his initial days and at the age of 15, Pedro Astorga used to work as a raft guide in his country Chile. He used to get paid $7,500 for each trip and he was happy with that money because it made him feel a little independent.

• In 2008, Pedro Astorga along with his cousin Lorenzo Andrade Astorga became a member of the rafting team named ‘Cascada Team’ which is a team that has represented Chile in four World Cups.

• In the same year, he participated in the Rafting competition which was held in the Mendoza River, Argentina.

• In the same year, he was cast in the Chilean music video titled ‘Libra: Ojos del Amanecer.’

• In 2010, he participated and won the Chilean reality TV show titled ‘Fear Factor Chile’ which was telecast on the Channel 13 TV channel.

• In 2012, he took part in the Chilean reality TV show titled ‘Pareja perfecta’ which was telecast on the Channel 13 TV channel. Pedro and his partner in the game Maria Paz Wagner won the show.

• In 2013, Pedro Astorga took part in the Chilean competition TV show titled ‘Salta si puedes’ (Jump if you can) and he became the 3rd runner-up of the show.

• In 2014, Pedro Astorga took part in the Chilean reality TV show titled ‘Amor a prueba’ in which he was paired up with a model named Romina Ansaldo. The couple won the title of the show.

• In 2016, he participated in the Kayaking championship in the Bigfork Whitewater Festival which was held at Bigfork, Montana.

• In 2018, Pedro Astorga took part in the YuShu World Rafting Plateau Championship which was held in the city of Yushu in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai, China.
