• Sulkhan Singh belongs to a farmer’s family in Bunda village in Uttar Pradesh.

• After completing his schooling, he moved to Roorkee.  After his graduation, he was selected into the Indian Railway Service of Engineers.

• In September 2017, he was given an extension from his prior retirement date to serve as Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police till December 2017.

• Sulkhan Singh was a member of the committee that revealed the truth about the police recruitment scam that took place during the Mulayam government. The Mayawati government set up this committee on the complaint of recruitment of people from a particular caste by taking money.

• The committee was also responsible for the termination of many police officers; however, after the government change in the state, Sulkhan was transferred.

• He has done many social works including treatment and rehabilitation work for abandoned mental patients in Lucknow city.

• In 2018, he took part in Gomti Safai Abhiyan, an environmental protection and public awareness campaign against plastic. He also led a drive for Diwali free from crackers and pollution in Lucknow.

• In 2018, he was appointed as the chairman of the committee set up by the state government for reforms in prisons and submitted the report on time.

• Sulkhan Singh has also served as the the chairman of Uttar Pradesh Police Modernization and Strengthening Commission.

• After the formation of the party, Singh announced that the main demand of his party was to create a separate state for the Bundelkhand region by combining 15 districts from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
