• Manila Nazzaro was born in a small village in Foggia, Italy.

• After attending high school at Notarangelo-Rosati Technical Institute, she enrolled in the faculty of medicine and surgery at the University of Chieti, Italy. In an interview, she revealed that she wanted to be a cardiologist.

• However, she didn’t complete her studies and quit university to pursue her artistic career.

• In 1996, she participated for the first time in the 57th edition of Miss Italia. She partcipated as Miss Puglia. However, she did not manage to win the title.

• In 1999, during her academic years at the Chieti University, she became an honorary member of the SISM (Italian Secretariat of Medical Students).

• In 1999, she decided to try her luck again in the Miss Italia beauty pageant. She finally won the title of the most beautiful woman in Italy. In addition to winning the national title of Miss Italia, she also won the title of Miss Cinema and 2nd place in Miss Elegance.

• After winning the Miss Italia title, she became the face of various advertising campaigns and television promotions.

• During this period, Manila also began to study acting. She joined Isabella Del Bianco Theatre, at the Teatro Azione in Rome.

• In between 2000 and 2003, she bagged three plays titled ‘Casa di bambola’ by Henrik Ibsen, ‘Tre sorelle’ by Anton Čechov, and ‘Antigone’ by Jean Anouilh.

• In September 2021, Manila Nazzar participated in Grande Fratello VIP Edition 6 (the Italian version of the reality television franchise Big Brother). She spent 173 days inside the house and was eliminated in the semi final of the show with only 38% votes.

• In an interview, Manila revealed that she had handed over the manuscript of her autobiography, Cintura rosa di sorveglianza (Pink Belt of Survival), to the publisher before going to the Grande Fratello VIP. On 6 October 2021, her autobiography was published.
