Some Lesser Known Facts About Gautami Biswas

Gautami Biswas was born in a middle-class family in a remote tiny town of Kharagpur in Southern West Bengal.

She is academically brilliant and has been the Gold medallist in economics at her University while pursuing her MSc degree in Economics.

The travelling bug bit her very early in life when she was in class 4, and she would read all the books in the library just to see how the world outside looked like through the words in the books.

Soon after finishing college, she started travelling solo out of her saved up pocket money and got the confidence to get out of her comfort zone. She travelled to every nook and corner of the country before embarking on her first international solo trip to Russia in 2014. After a few years, she started travelling with her fiance who is as passionate about travelling as her.

Subsequently, in 2017, she started her Instagram page that chronicled her journeys throughout the world and has amassed an amazing following of 116k followers to date.

Gautami has a travel blog which she started in 2021 titled travelrevelation (www.gautamibiswas.com)

She has collaborated with several brands on Instagram to date.

Gautami draws her inspiration from all the travellers and nomadic wanderers and wishes she can quit her full-time job one day and just travel the world.

When asked about what inspired her to become a travel blogger, she replied,

You die only once, you live every day. Every day you get a chance to experience new things, explore the world, broaden your horizon. Life is too short to be lived at one place.”
