ControversyFIR Filed Against Sashidhar Jagdishan (June 2025)
On 7 June 2025, the Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trusr, Mumbai filed an FIR against Sashidahr Jagdishan in a fraud case. The trust claimed that Jagdishan received Rs 2.02 crore in unaccounted payments and overseen the improper transfer of Rs 25 Crore of Trust Finds into HDFC bank accounts. The trust also asked regulators including RBI, SEBI and the Financy Ministry to suspend and prosecute him.
However, bank denied all the charges and called them baseless and malicious. Th bank said it would take legal action to defend Sashidhar Jagdishan and continue its recovery process, The Mumbai police began a formal investigation after the FIR.[1] Indianexpress.com
