- Sudan Gurung was born in a middle-class family in Nepal.
- Before 2015, he was employed in event management, and his lifestyle was linked with parties and clubs. He worked as a DJ and also owns a club.
- In 2015, when a major earthquake struck Nepal, he decided to become a social worker to help those in need. A call for volunteers was made through his social media accounts, and about 200 people gathered.
- According to some reports, his own child died during the natural disaster.
- Relief work in hospitals and affected areas was carried out by the volunteers even though professional training was not available.
