- Sreenivasan was an Indian actor who predominantly worked in the Malayalam film industry.
- He was born and grew up in a modest family in Pattiom, Kannur district, Kerala.
- In an interview, Sreenivasan mentioned that his father was against his film acting career, but somehow, Sreenivasan managed to convince him and pursued a career in acting and film direction.
- He had spent nearly 50 years in Malalayam film industry.
- In 1976, he made his debut in a supporting role in the film Manimuzhakkam.
- In 1977, to enhance his acting skills, Sreenivasan joined the Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu in Chennai to complete his formal training in films.
- While studying at the Film school, he was introduced to cinema through Aniyeri Prabhakaran, who later cast him in Mela (1980).
- In 1979, Sreenivasan bagged his first lead role in the film Sanghaganam.
- In 1984, he wrote his first film, Odaruthammava Aalariyam (1984).
- Sreenivasan had written over 50 scripts.
