Controversy	Alleged Use of Ward Office (2026) In June 2026, Ananya Banerjee came under controversy, when protesters enetred her ward office in Kolkata's Mukundapur area and claimed that they revcovered several items including condoms, a bed, a massage machine, cometics, beauty products, dressing table and a make-up room. They also alleged that they found documents related to financial transactions and property dealings. The opposition accused her of misusing public office and demanded an investigation. However, Ananya dismissed all the allegations against her stating that premises contained official files and relief materials.
