- Natasha Ward began running from her school days itself.
- She won medals in the 1500 metre event at the NSW All Schools championships as a junior.
- She later joined Macquarie University in Sydney, where she studied exercise and sports science.
- During her college years, she competed in the UniSport Nationals and won a medal in the 1500 metre race in 2023.
- In 2024, Ward competed in the Australian Championships. She ran alongside well known athletes such as Morgan Mitchell and Claudia Hollingsworth.
- Along with her studies and national level races, she stayed active in the Sutherland District Athletics Club.
- She took part in summer and winter relays every year and often stepped in whenever her team needed an extra runner.
- In April 2026, Ward won a bronze medal in the 800 metre race at the UniSport Nationals. She mainly competed in the 400 metre, 800 metre and 1500 metre events throughout her career.
