- Aditi Saigal’s father, Amit Saigal, was fondly called “Papa Rock” in the music community. He died in Goa after drowning in the sea on 5 January 2012. [3]The Hindustan Times
- Born to a singer father, she developed a passion for music at a very young age. In an interview, while talking about the same, she said,
I remember waking up to music a lot. Sometimes it would be Frou Frou (Imogen Heap) or Diogal Sakho playing his Samba Alla. Dad would be playing his djembe along as I tumbled out of my bedroom. I also remember singing to this one cassette that used to be in my nani’s car called Dances from Around the World.”
