After his birth, Brandon Lake grew up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where his father was a pastor of a church plant.

Brandon was inclined towards learning and playing the guitar in childhood and his father was the one who supported and enhanced his idea. His father also taught him to play a few basic guitar chord progressions.

Later, Brandon started learning guitar on his own with the help of YouTube. He used to learn songs of the Christian rock band named ‘Third Day’ and the American Christian contemporary music singer Chris Tomlin and he used to practice their songs on his guitar.

In his teenage years, Brandon Lake used to accompany the worship team at his church and he was later hired by Seacoast Church as a worship leader for their college ministry.

Brandon is a singer of a defined genre of Christian music which is used in contemporary worship.

In 2023, Brandon Lake released an English song titled ‘Miracle Child’ which was based on his real-life story. He considers himself a miracle child because his parents suffered many miscarriages before he was born. Brandon was quoted saying in an interview that

I am thankful for my miraculous birth and my mother’s answered prayer. I’m thankful my mom trusted God and persevered, because of that I am alive. My parents experienced six miscarriages, and that’s why I can say confidently today that I am a ‘miracle child.”
In the same year, Brandon Lake and another American contemporary Christian singer Phil Wickham announced they were initiating the Summer Worship Nights tour. The tour was planned to be around twelve cities across the United States in August 2023. Christian rapper KB also joined them as a special guest on the tour.

In 2024, Brandon Lake opened up about his firsthand experiences with depression and ‘adrenaline fatigue’ during a podcast. Sharing his experience, Brandon was quoted saying in the podcast that

I reached out to two of my buddies. And I had too much pride to even call them; I texted them. I said, ‘Guys, I don’t know what’s going on right now. I’ve been home for a few days … and I don’t recognize myself. I’m not myself. I’m freaking out. And I’m feeling compelled to just crash or do something crazy.”

Brandon Lake has conducted various world tours after the release of his albums and some of them are ‘Miracle Nights Tour’ (2022-2023), ‘Summer Worship Nights Tour with Phil Wickham’ (2023 and 2024), ‘Coat of Many Colors Tour’ (2023), and ‘Tear Off the Roof Tour’ (2024).
