• Dharmanna Kadur is an Indian actor who is known for his works in the Kannada entertainment industry. He is popular for playing comedic roles in Kannada films like Rama Rama Re… (2016), Mugulu Nage (2017), Man of the Match (2022), and Rajayoga (2023).

• As a kid, while watching plays in his hometown, he developed an interest in the performing arts and theatre. In an interview, he recalled his childhood memories and said,
  

  I have grown up watching plays all night in my hometown. My father and aunt would sing kolata and sobana padagalu. In school, I have acted in many plays like Kuvempu’s ‘Jalagara’, ‘Kalki’, and ‘Ondu Bogase Neeru’.”

• Growing up, he was influenced by films like Gauri Ganesha (1991) and Policena Hendthi (1990), starring renowned comedians Anant Nag and Shashi Kumar.

• Dharmanna, known for his humorous nature in school, often entertained his classmates by mimicking various actors.

• Dharmanna Kadur started his acting career alongside Nataraj and director D Satya Prakash. Their collaboration predates the film “Rama Rama Re…” (2016), as they were classmates in Kadur and spent nearly eight years together in theatre. Later, Dharmanna and Nataraj went on to receive training from the veteran actor TS Nagabharana. Later on, they went separate ways and each started their own journey in the Sandalwood. In an interview, Dharmanna talked about their friendship and said,
  

  We travelled all over Karnataka staging plays. Then, each of us went our separate ways following our dreams. When we reconnected, we realised that we shared a common love for cinema. We got together for Daali Dhananjaya’s short film, Jayanagara 4th Block .”

• Thereafter, Dharmanna began working as a theatre artist. He joined the drama troupe of Yashwanth Sardeshpande and was associated with the Guru Institute in Hubli, Karnataka. Various theatrical productions under his belt include All the Best, Sahi ri Sahi, Hingadra Dot Comedy, and Ondu Aata Bhattaraddu.

• In 2013, Dharmanna appeared in the short film Jayanagara 4th Block, which gained popularity upon its YouTube release. The screenplay was a joint effort by Dhananjaya, Sathya Prakash, and Nataraj. The short film was the acting debut of Dhananjaya, Nataraj, Dharmanna, and Bimbashree Ninasam, and also marked Sathya Prakash’s first venture as a director. Following this, Dharmanna was also seen in the short film “I Love You.”

• Despite this portfolio, Dharmanna faced difficulty while shooting his debut film Rama Rama Re… (2016). In an interview, he said,
  

  I wasted half a day for a single shot on my first day in ‘Rama Rama Re’ making. I told Satya to not waste his time and asked him to replace me. He showed faith in me and once I aced my shot, there was no looking back.”

• In 2016, Dharmanna gained popularity with his debut Kannada film, Rama Rama Re…, in which he shared the screen with Nataraj. The film was directed by D Satya Prakash. Dharmanna’s performance was immensely appreciated, and he won hearts for his comic timing, body language, and dialogue delivery.

• In 2018, he won the “Best Comedian” award for his performance in Rama Rama Re… (2016) at the Radio City Cine Awards Kannada, hosted by Radio City 91.1FM.
