Controversies	• Vijay Duniya appeared in the hit Kannada films "Chanda" and "Yuga" in 2007. Reportedly, the director of "Chanda," S Narayan, had promised Vijay to release "Chanda" six weeks after "Yuga." However, the director decided to release the film earlier, which angered Vijay, and he refused to dub for the "Chanda." The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) took the matters in their own hand and imposed a year-long ban on the actor. This band was later lifted up by the Karnataka Film Federation.
