Controversies | A-Z Restaurants sued Ramsay In 1998, Ramsay left his position at the Aubergine Restaurant owned by the A-Z Restaurants. Thereafter, the restaurant owners sued him for breaking the contract and charged him 1 million pounds. Later, the case was settled outside the court.[4]The Caterer Accused of depicting Fake Scenes The newspaper company known as the London Evening Standard claimed in their news that the TV show Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (2004-2014) had created fake scenes to show the hazardous conditions at the Bonaparte's restaurant, Silsden, West Yorkshire in 2006. This news was proven wrong at the court and the newspaper company had to pay a price of 75,000 pounds for damages.[5]BBC News Fake Problem Creation in Ramsay's TV Show In 2007, the ex-Manager of the New York restaurant Dillon's also known as Purnima accused Ramsay's show Kitchen Nightmares (2004-2014) of creating fake problems at restaurants. The manager claimed these fake problems were created by the show for Ramsay so that he could be shown to improve the condition at the restaurant.
