• In June 2015, Jeffrey played his first international match for the SLCB President’s XI against Pakistan.

• Jeffrey was the 168th player for Sri Lanka when he made his ODI debut. He conceded 34 runs in 2 overs and remained not out on 7 runs in his debut match.

• Jeffrey’s first ODI wicket came against New Zealand in the 3rd ODI of the series at Saxton Oval; he dismissed Tom Latham for 42 runs.

• In January 2016, Jeffrey took his first T20I wicket when he dismissed New Zealand’s Corey Anderson in the match.

• Jeffrey was included in the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament squad as a replacement for Lasith Malinga who was ruled out from the tournament due to an injury.
