  • On the morning of 6 February 2026, he visited a Gurdwara Sahib in Model Town, Jalandhar, and offered prayers.
  • After completing prayers, he returned towards his black Thar SUV parked outside the Gurdwara premises.
  • At around 7:30–7:50 am, after he sat inside the Thar, two unidentified assailants arrived on a motorcycle.
  • The assailants opened fire from both sides of the vehicle using two sophisticated weapons, firing approximately eight to ten rounds.
  • Multiple bullets hit Lucky Oberoi, and the firing shattered window panes of his Thar SUV and another vehicle parked nearby.
  • CCTV footage later confirmed that the attackers fired repeatedly at Oberoi while he was seated inside his vehicle.
