The Men Behind The Bigg Boss Voice
There are two people actually among which many of us get confused. Yes, you read it right. There is not one, but are two men who give their voice to the show. These men are, Atul Kapoor and Vijay Vikram Singh. If you are following the show, you will have heard two voices in the show, one stating, “Bigg Boss Chahte Hain” and the one stating, “11 January, Raat 8 Baje!“. So, here is the difference between the two that our real Bigg Boss with their amazing voices- ‘Atul Kapoor‘ and the other person who is the narrator of the show and sounds equally fascinating is ‘Vijay Vikram Singh‘. Both the men are doing great at their part. Let’s try to know them more.
The Real Bigg Boss: Atul Kapoor
Atul Kapoor is a dubbing artist, active in the dubbing industry since 2002. He was born on 28 December 1966 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He is a graduate from Lucknow University and is proficient in English and Hindi. He has done voice-overs for several English films. Though he has given his voice to many famous Hollywood actors and is making the Bigg Boss contestants dance on his tunes, he is quite a private person.
He has been seen with a few of the Bigg Boss contestants, but has never come in front to the media revealing any information about himself. This 51-years voice-over artist has dubbed for ‘Toy Story 3’ (Chatter Telephone), ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ (Professor James Moriarty), ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ (Alexander Toombs), ‘The Avengers’ (J.A.R.V.I.S.), ‘Iron Man 2’ (J.A.R.V.I.S.), ‘Iron Man3’ (J.A.R.V.I.S.), ‘Snow White and the Huntsman‘ (Eric), etc.
The Narrator (Bigg Boss): Vijay Vikram Singh
Vijay Vikram Singh with a powerful baritone voice is the second voice which we hear at the beginning and the end of Bigg Boss. He is the narrator of the show, and most of the people confuse him with the real Bigg Boss voice over. But yes, we have to admit that his voice is equally effective as Atul Kapoor‘s.
Vijay Vikram Singh hails from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and was born to a middle-class family on 26 November 1977. Though he was working far better than any other middle-class young lad and was established as a Business Development Manager at an MNC, he got carried away by a compliment that one of his female friends gave him for his voice. He wondered that he could not sing, so what can he do with his voice!. In 2005, as he got transferred to Mumbai by his company, his new friends in Mumbai also asked him to use his voice at a better place.
One of Vijay Vikram Singh‘s friends asked him to join 92.7 Big FM as Business Development Manager where he could learn how to modulate his voice in various situations. He discussed his decision of leaving the job and joining the radio with his wife Geetanjali Singh. She supported him in his decision, and he joined the radio.
Vijay Vikram Singh started his career as a voice-over artist with Dance India Dance Season 1 (2009) and has been a part of the team ever since. His big break was for Bigg Boss Season 4, and there was no looking back for him after that. He has worked as a voice-over artist for various reality shows and TV commercials, including, DID, Nach Baliye 6, Sahara One, Neo cricket, Wanted High Alert, Promos for Star Gold, Music India, Bigg Boss (season 4 and onwards), and many more.
Vijay Vikram Singh also hosted a radio show, ‘Chandani Ratein‘ for 94.3 My FM as an RJ. On one hand, where Atul Kapoor is seen to be a private person, on the other hand, Vijay Vikram Singh is ready to explore himself more. He has also tried his hands in acting, as he appeared in the role of ‘Chanakya‘ in a play named, ‘Alexander VS Chanakya‘ (2016).
Both men are an integral part of the show and are doing their jobs perfectly. The voice has attained a big fan following throughout the journey of Bigg Boss, especially the contestants of Bigg Boss. The two are really close to each other and share a brotherly rapport with each other.
