He comes from a family deeply involved in music and has often shared that every family member could sing or play an instrument.

Miles was introduced to music early in life. He was especially influenced by his mother, Timiney Figueroa, and his aunt, Anaysha Figueroa-Cooper, who are well-known gospel singers.

Caton began singing when he was two years old.

In October 2010, he performed a song by Sam Cooke at the NAACP’s 24th Annual Freedom Fund Awards Gala held at the Lakeview, New York.
