  • He grew up in a Muslim family in Nizamabad, Telangana.
  • Hussamuddin belongs to a pugilist family. His father, Mohammad Shamsuddin, is a coach and a former Indian boxer who has participated in national-level boxing tournaments. Hussamuddin’s elder brothers Etheshamuddin and Itishmuddin are professional boxers. In an interview, he talked about his family and shared that he has six brothers, among which five are boxers. He quoted,

    My entire family is into boxing, it’s literally what my background is. My father is a coach, my elder brothers are into boxing and I started when I was very young. I don’t think the presence of boxers in the family adds pressure. In fact, it brings me a lot of support whether it is from my father or brother because among us six brothers, five of us have been into boxing, so they get it.”

  • Mohammad Hussamuddin, initially, took training to be a gymnast; however, his gymnastic coach moved to another state. Later his father, Shamsuddin, decided to give him training in boxing.
