• On 11 June 2023, while being in Jeju Island for her upcoming performance on 12 June 2023, Park Soo Ryun tragically fell down stairs, resulting in severe injuries. She was immediately transported to the hospital, where she was unfortunately declared brain dead. Her parents shared with the media that although her brain had ceased functioning, her heart continued to beat. In a selfless act, they made the decision to donate her organs to individuals in need.

• Her mother addressed the media and said,
  

  Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating. There must be someone who desperately needs [organs]. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted [by the thought that her heart] has gone to someone and is beating.” ^[2]Hindustan Times

• A mortuary was established for Park Soo Ryun at Suwon Hospital, where her body was kept after her passing. The funeral ceremony took place at 4 pm KST on 12 June 2023 and continued until the morning of 13 June 2023.
