• While he was studying in class 9, he auditioned for a school play. While practising for the play, he started developing an interest in acting.

• He then actively participated in various school and college theatre plays.

• He wanted to join the University of California, Los Angeles. However, he could not study there.

• When he expressed his desire to become an actor to his father, his father opposed it as his father wanted him to join their family business. After around 10 years, his father accepted Ram’s career preference.

• Ram once shared that when he enrolled in an acting course in the US, his father was so upset with him for pursuing an acting course that he stopped sending money to Ram. He then did a few odd jobs to meet his financial expenses in the US.
