At the age of 5, Bullock started studying music and dance while she traveled throughout Europe, and made her first stage appearance at this small age in a small role for an opera in Nuremburg, Germany.

Sandra Bullock can speak German very fluently.

When she was 12, her parents returned to Washington where she attended the Washington-Lee High School. Bullock became very popular at school and was in cheer-leading team and participated in theater productions.

Until the age of 18, Bullock held American-German dual citizenship. When her family settled in the USA, she then held only American citizenship until 2009, later she reapplied for German citizenship.

As a child, Bullock played a beggar in one of her mother’s operas, and almost upstaged the lead. “What they did was throw up these chocolates…like a bravo, and I hit the ground crawling” she told ‘Vogue’.
