- According to him, in his village, kabaddi and wrestling are the only popular sports. Shrikant Jadhav started playing kabaddi when he was in school, participated in several school games, and competed at the district level. Even though his family faced financial difficulties, Shrikant practised kabaddi regularly. Gradually, Shrikant earned recognition in his village for his achievements.

After struggling in domestic tournaments for two years, Shrikant Jadhav was signed by Jaipur Pink Panthers in the Pro Kabaddi League in its second season. He then played for Bengal Warriors in PKL’s third season and got 10 raid points in 5 matches. However, he got a shoulder injury that made him take a break for almost a year.
- When he returned to the Pro Kabaddi League, he again played for Bengal Warriors in its fourth season where he scored only 7 raid points in 5 matches. As Shrikant Jadhav was not doing well, the Bengal Warriors let him go, and he then joined U Mumba in the 5th season. That season, he performed well and scored 86 raid points in 19 matches.
- In the 6th season of the Pro Kabaddi League, UP Yoddha bought him, and they kept him for the next season too. Shrikant Jadhav played 25 matches and scored 141 raid points with 5 Super 10 points.
