• On 24 June 2023, Suraj Kumar was involved in a serious accident on the Mysuru-Gundlupet highway near Begur. He was en route from Mysore to Ooty on his bike when he reportedly lost control trying to overtake a tractor, resulting in a collision with a tipper lorry. Kumar was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru.
