- Todd Murphy is an Australian cricketer, who received his baggy Green Test cap (465) from his fellow off-spinner Nathan Lyon ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series opener against India on 9 February 2023 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
- Todd grew up in the NSW town of Moama, New South Wales, Australia, where his father, Jamie Murphy, who hailed from Mathoura in country NSW, resettled.
- From an early age, Todd Murphy shared his father’s passion and technical acuity for the game of cricket. His father used to Premier cricket in Australia during his younger days. Jamie has played cricket with the late Shane Warne.
- His elder brother, Joel Murphy, earlier used to play cricket for St Kilda. Later, he got associated with Sandhurst Cricket Club in the Bendigo District Cricket Association.
