• In 1992, Vignesh worked in the film Vanna Vanna Pookkal. However, after working for seven days in the film, he was replaced by actor Prashanth. The film was directed by Balu Mahendra.

• In the following year, he appeared in three films Amma Ponnu, Bharathiraja’s Kizhakku Cheemayile, and Kathir’s Uzhavan.

• In 1995, Vignesh appeared alongside actress Yuvarani in the film Chellakannu. The film was a hit at the box office.
