• Yang Dong-geun, also known as YDG, is a South Korean actor, music artist, and breakdancer. In 2023, it was announced that he would act in the second season of the popular Netflix South Korean survival drama series ‘Squid Game.’

• He played the character of young Dong-hoon in KBS2’s 1991 TV series titled ‘Hyung (My Older Brother).’ He is also recognized for his leading role as Heo Seung-po in the popular tvN series ‘The Three Musketeers,’ which was aired in 2014.

• He has appeared in several South Korean TV series including ‘The Bride of Habaek’ (2017), ‘365: Repeat the Year’ (2020), and ‘Cheer Up’ (2022).

• In 2001, he launched an album titled ‘Yangdonggeun a.k.a Madman,’ which was a South Korean hip-hop album.

• In 2005, he had a role in a South Korean theatrical production titled ‘Offending the Audience.’ Then, in 2008, he played the character Kang Bong-tae in the stage play ‘Mine.’

• Before marrying Park Ga-ram in 2014, he dated her, and she became pregnant with his child. They eventually got married. ^[2]Soompi In an interview, he shared the story of how he first met his wife and said,
  

  I met her when we were cast as the main characters for a music video. Back then, I didn’t hit on her. I did think that if we were really meant to be, then we would meet again sometime. • In 2016, he appeared as a host on Mnet’s South Korean music competition show ‘Unpretty Rapstar 3.’

• He has also been featured on several South Korean variety shows, including ‘The Radio Star’ (2013), ‘Show Me the Money 3’ (2014), ‘The Return of Superman’ (2016), and ‘Law of the Jungle in Komodo’ (2017).

• In 2022, he acted in many web series including ‘Floor,’ ‘The King of the Desert,’ and ‘Connect.’

• In 2022, he was appointed as the public relations ambassador for the global medical volunteer group Green Doctors.

• On 8 February 2023, he contributed 10 million won to support the relief efforts for the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquake. This donation was made through the Embassy of Turkey in South Korea.
