Controversy	• She was criticized for her bold performance in the movie IAMK (an adult comedy movie) in 2018. • On 25 July 2021, she met with a road accident on East Coast Road near Mahabalipuram when she was returning to Chennai along with her three friends. One of her friends named Pavani Valicheti died on the spot, and Yashika and two other friends were seriouslu injured in the accident. According to sources, Yashica was on the driving seat when the accident took place, and the accident was a result of overspeeding. After a preliminary inquiry by the Mahabalipuram Police, Yashika's driving license was seized, and the police booked her under two sections for rash driving and causing death by accident.
