After getting married in 1983, she took a break from theatres and started working as a teacher in a Government school.

In 1996, she again started doing theatres in different parts of Punjab like Samarala, Mohali, Mullanpur and even in Chandigarh School of Drama.

She started her acting career as a Punjabi TV actress who did a lot of TV serials like ‘Chipan Ton Pehla’, ‘Mitti Na Hovey Matrehi’, ‘Jado Main Sirf Aurat Hundi Ha’, ‘Sukhi Kukh’, ‘Ehna Di Awaj’, etc.
