• Punarnavi Bhupalam was born and brought up in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. 

• She was very naughty in her childhood and at the age of 13, she was sent to Kennedy International Residential School, Vijayawada.

• While studying in 10th standard, she played the role of Julius Caesar in her school’s stage show. Thereafter, she decided to make her career in acting.

• Thereafter, she received training in acting from Hyderabad’s Samahaara and Nishumbita theatre groups.

• In 2012, she won the title of “Fresh Face of Vijayawada” in Vijayawada beauty pageant.

• In 2013, she made her Telugu film debut with “Uyyala Jampala” where she played the role of “Sunitha.”

• In 2014, she was featured on the magazine “You & I.” 

• Her mother is a fashion designer, she designed Punarnavi’s dress in her first movie Uyyala Jampala.

The hardest scene in the film was to look and feel shy. I was brought up like a tomboy. I would hit boys in school, I never remember crying or feeling shy even once.”
